Is paldwin.com legitimate? I have some thoughts on the matter but I would like to see what you all think before I say anything.

Not in my mind, they are based in Singapore, while nothing wrong with Singapore, it's a beautiful country, I wouldn't be purchasing my United States coins from them. It's also part of the known counterfeit heavy site alibaba. Here is a screen shot of their whois page lookup: I'd stay clear of them and never send them traffic or money personally. Use a legitimate US dealer that has been around for years and years. There are so many, CCF owners have a good relationship with many of the advertisers here, maybe try some of them instead? Remember if it's too good to be true then it is. Coins and bullion don't need to discounted there are 1000's of dealers one could pick up a phone and get market pricing, why would any one in their right mind sell at huge losses instead? EDIT: I had never heard of them before this posting, I am only going off what I saw and my simple whois search. Attached a quick search of their site and "reviews" - and a little further looking into them, the commerce site is based in China on a cloud server, so no telling where it really is at all. No Bueno Amigo.

Yet their "contact us" address is 253 Rue Saint Honore 75001 Paris. If you look up the address, a bunch of other website businesses are registered at the same address. So who knows where they're really physically located, if anywhere. A 2023-W ASE for $26 that the mint sells for $76? Somehow I don't think so.

The person who asked me about this said he had already placed an order with his credit card and then realized something didn't seem right. He tried cancelling but never got a response confirming his cancellation. If they charge his credit card his only recourse might be to dispute the charge. I wonder if his credit card could now be considered compromised. Maybe he should cancel his card and get a new one.

I note that the ASE special is to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Also, they ONLY ship to the U.S.

Do not use paldwin.com!
I foolishly ignored "if it's too good to be true then it is" and placed an order for some 2023 American Silver Eagles from them on 6/19/23, just before this thread started. I recevied the shipment today (originating from Yanwen, China) and the coins are obviously counterfeit: They only weigh 21g, instead of 31g, and there are some obvious deviations from the image on the USMint website. I contacted the local Secret Service office. The agent was helpful, but said they do not routinely investigate counterfeit coins, just notes, unless it is a really big case. He did take my name and number in case he sees a trend growing. Meanwhile, he suggested I try to get a refund through paypal or my credit card.

I just looked at their website. On the home page, it has a picture of a Washington quarter in a cardboard 2x2 with the caption "U. S. Peace Silver Dollars."

Paldwins 10th Anniversary ASE special are counterfeit coins. The actual weight of their ASE is 24.279 grams, which is a tad shy of the real ASE'S weight of an ounce of silver. They do actually accept returns if you keep up your persistence that you want a refund, but you have to pay return shipping to Hong Kong that comes to about $280 for a 2lb package via Fed-Ex. Before they tell you to return the coins, they will try to buy you off with a small refund that goes higher every time you turn down their offer. I know this information is true because I actually did the actual weighting for a friend, and I read the actual emails sent back and forth. Think about it, who would give you 15 free coins if you buy 10!!

Reviews say Quote: It is not on our recommendations list as it has a medium-low trust rank. The website is questionable, at least for now.
