https://monumentmetals.com/90-silve...e-value.htmlI've ordered these six times and have been sent a roll silver proof State Quarters. This last time I got 20 Washington Comems. This per $1 face value is cheaper than most junk silver I've seen both on their site and on others. Since they are proof, they haven't lost any silver from wear. Highlights of these coins: These coins are NOT minted 1964 or before. They are modern proof silver issues from the U.S. Mint.Packaged in vinyl flips for purchases of $1 Face Value. Packaged in convenient tubes for purchases of $10 Face Value and bags for larger quantities. You may receive all of one denomination of coins or a mixture.

If you pay by CC, it works out to $31.15 per ounce plus shipping (unless you buy $200 or more).

I always buy at least 10 with eCheck, so that makes it $29.80 per ounce with free shipping. Most junk is 30X face value right now. But don't forget these are proof coins, there is no wear on them. They also have numismatic value.

Just shows you the premiums on junk silver are completely stupid.

Quote: Most junk is 30X face value right now. Where are you seeing 30x? APMEX has junk silver at 23x face and that's typically higher than what my LCS offers. 23x is still more than I want to pay, but is a far cry from 30x.

Junk/Constitutional silver is 23 times face at both of my local coin shops. The modern commemoratives are actually so undesirable that my dealer was selling them at spot. A few months ago I picked up 3 commemoratives with the OGP for spot plus a $1, so they make good sense as a stack. Of all the commemoratives the only one that I own that I paid a premium for was the Native American dollar coins. Commemorative's are a money losing proposition when buying from the mint.

Right now, they are charging $21.32 per $1 face value. Cheaper if you buy more than 10 or 100. Shipping is extra unless $200 purchase price or more.
If LCS is charging $23.00 per $1 face, then this is cheaper when shipping avoided.

I assume the modern commemoratives are all quarters, or are there any modern halves as well?

The modern commemoratives are mostly silver dollars, with some halves (mostly clad, some silver). Edit to add link to my topic on a similar issue: http://goccf.com/t/443806

Try and sell most modern proof silver coins back to a dealer. You will get spot if you are lucky. That is my experience anyway.
That is why I do not collect new modern mint product from any country.
Very occasionally, I may buy at below spot (mainly at coin shows), if the opportunity presents itself.
However, genuinely rare silver proof coins (generally struck before about 1960), can be very pricey.

As a corollary, modern sovereign gold proofs like the US Arts medals and Canadian 1/2 oz $100's sell for less than junk gold. They sell for less than most modern bullion coins as well. Much cheaper than Eagles and Maple Leafs.

Most of my orders are state or ATB silver quarters. One set was 20 1982 George Washington commemorative halves. Again, these are generally cheaper than constitutional silver. 21.10 per dollar face today.

I ordered $10 worth & received a roll of 1/2 dollars for $220.
15 Washington, 1-1993 Madison, 4 Kennedy, 1993,2005,2008,2015.
Great for stacking!

Well got several orders of Washington silver proof halves and Kennedy silver proof 1992+. One even had the Madison silver .50c proof. Running about $21 per face value. That is less then most of the pre 65 constitutional.
