I know it's not the DDO, but it looks different than normal Machine Doubling .

Yes, that's Machine Doubling (MD). The '69 S is known for a range of MD--some of it quite pronounced.

Remember MD will be shelf-like and serve to reduce the width of the design elements. This is a really great example of this.

I could see the standard shelf like appearance and reducing I just felt like it was cleaner and more pronounced than what I normally see and was wondering if it was a distinct form of md. Someone called it a double shift date once.. Thanks for the responses everyone

Eric, there are different forms of MD, depending on how it happens, here is a link to all of them. With your pics, I cannot tell for sure but yours does favor "push" or "slide" MD.

I'm serious, Dearborn, how can you not even give stuff away? I'm getting close to turning it back to the wild. Just put it back out there and maybe someone will find it again. I have doubled dies, clashes, Cuds, RPM's, BU coins, spike heads, IDB's, RIDB's, struck throughs, trail dies, transitional varieties and so much more.... When I get to 5000 posts, I'm going to have another giveaway, and every 2500 after that. I might just wait and have a mix and match with these items with the giveaways.
