Found the coin above and its light 2.6gr. Should I send in to PCGS? Is it worth the cost? Thanks in advance for the help.

Can we get another image of the edge with another 'normal one next to it to get an idea of the thickness?

This coin is very well worn flat, and that can account for a low of the weight loss.

Yes exactly—the heavy wear and corrosion spots might explain the slightly low weight. I wouldn't send this in to be slabbed.

Thank you- looks like all the rest I have. It's 1/2 the size of the others. I'm gonna take a chance and send it in. I'll let you know how it comes back.

I'm curious what your goal is for having it graded. It will get a Details grade and you wouldn't break even on the costs unless it was in AU condition.

808Treasure, A coin needs a retail value of at least $100 to $150 after slabbing to justify all costs involved in sending it in.John1

The coin is not worn down any more than most this age and there is no corrosion. It's half the size of one from the same date. Sorry my pics are not the best. The reason I want to send it in is because I think it was stamped on the wrong planchet and that would make it valuable, yes? - not sure, that's why I'm reaching out. The weight is off a lot . I really appreciate everybody getting into this and trying to figure it out.All suggestions are welcome and respected. Attached is a side by side . Trying to figure out how to take better pics for you. I'm new to this. Thanks for the tips.

Your coin will get a details grade (damaged/corroded), and it very well might get 'struck on thin planchet', but not 'struck on foreign planchet' or anything like that. Thin planchets, and I have a few myself, might go for $10 in this grade, whether they are slabbed or not.
