I plan on regularly getting Lincoln Penny boxes to coin roll hunt (just got a box yesterday which the bank teller filled a box up of all customer wrapped rolls). I want to find a dump bank. Do you suggest getting more than one?

Also, do you have a dump bank from the same company you get coins from, at a different branch? I wonder if that wouldn't be good because I don't know if branches help each other by shipping their coins to each other.

Years ago I had a couple dump banks--ones I never got coin from. The last few years I have one dump bank--a single branch actually. I acquire rolls from three major banks. I'm fortunate to live in an area where I can access a couple dozen branches within 30 minutes driving time (worst case). I've never had an issue with dump bank branches shipping coins to other branches where I obtain coins.

I'm an odd one I guess , I use my main bank for both . I get new rolls ( fed - armored car ) and re - wrap when I'm done . I'm ok with them for about 150 per day ( quarters ) . If I do happen to get customer wrapped I know not to get ones with crimped ends as I'm sure I'm the only customer that does this . One of the tellers hooked me up with a bunch of customer wrapped nickels from an estate clean out of some sort. Someone had gotten the War Nickels from them but left alot of other Jefferson goodies.

There is another local bank that is also cool for dealing with 150 or so ( quarters ). They have a coinstar machine and will pay me with new rolls . I don't have an account there but I have spoke to the manager and if I open an account she would be able to order boxes for me ( I really need to get on board with them but work has been hammering me this year ).

I have about 15 dump banks - they're all branches of one of the big banks... Fortunately, I live in a densely populated part of SoCal... I have about five each in three different areas within about 15 miles of me which I use on a rotating basis. Occasionally, I also travel out of town (as I did this past Saturday) and dump while I'm away.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

I dump in 3 branches of my second bank into my savings account. How can they complain about transfrring my funds from a mega bank to a smaller regional bank?
