Found this 83 D today with an extra D above the date and tilted. Upon looking closer there seems to be the outline of Lincoln's face twisted as well with his coat jacket going down into the date and around his lips. Not sure what happened but definitely not PMD imo

2nd picture you can clearly see two bow ties side by side with the right one a little higher and tilted. As well as his chin above that.

Post-strike damage, exposed zinc core is introducing zinc rot. Beware Pareidolia.

Sometimes it is a bitter pill to swallow when you think you have something and the experts on this site tell you otherwise. I agree with the others that this is PMD. Please don't get offended and learn from the wisdom of those on this site.

Zinc rot. Eventually it will eat the whole coin. The blister is where it started, then it spreads out from there.
