When I am attributing varieties, sometimes the markers are actually something else that can be attributed. Here this dime has a nice RPM, but the marker for VarietyVista Stage C is a Spike Head. I checked and it wasn't listed so this coin has been submitted to JC for possible listing. It just seems like if the marker on a variety is attributable, then best if that is done so that things can be cross referenced more easily.

Nice one! What's going on in the left obverse field?

Thanks! The left obverse field is a mystery to me. My guess is that the area had some toning or similar and someone removed it. But I just don't know much about silver coins at all so could be something else.
