This coin has minor doubling on the bottom of most of the numbers in the date but no doubling visible on any other part of the coin. I dont see any markers as well. What do you guys think.

Sorry, that's Machine Doubling. Notice how the doubling is flattened down from the shape of the normal digits...a classic signal that you have Machine Doubling.

Shadow, I think you meant to use DDO- doubled die obverse- rather than DO which I guess would be double obverse or die observe. DDO being the appropriate terminology. Maybe you already know that and it was just a typo and in that case you can forget about my note here.

Dates, an interesting area for Machine Doubling.
1972-DDO?
Here is something interesting. In a roll I found many machine doubled Cents in a bank roll. So what? They provide something that we can learn. I noticed on several of them the doubling damage was different from coin to coin. Its not a die issue, but a striking issue. I thought others may enjoy this.

Note the die scratches between the 1&9 and to the mint mark. They are all from the same die, but different because of the die movement during striking.

Coop, this is to be expected from exactly what MD'G does, jumping around when the Die is loose and no 2-coins would look the same, correct.....
