The northwest area looks like Feeder Finger Damage, the southcentral area looks like PIDT. I am interested in seeing a nice clear closeup of LIBERTY though, maybe a DDO?

just did a search on here. Ghosting on the center area. I thought so as well, but wasn't sure if Ghosting would have the hair standing out on the head and Beard area. I wasn't sure where the definition border is at on the two. But what about the left wheat area where it is lifted. looks like the Front or Back of lincoln's Jacket that goes through PL in Pluribus? also the lifted letter looking area in STATES to AMERICA. it could be his hair from the Ghosting/Clash I suppose.

Ok. Thanks for the info Makecents. I understand the ghosting thing, but that just transfers the outline, not the design correct? I guess what I'm confused on is where is the boundary between a Die clash and Ghosting. I have plenty of clashed obverse wheat cents. Don't know if I've ever seen a reverse Cash to compare. Thanks

Thanks I've seen different levels of PIDT but yes, typically the outline is what is mostly seen. There is no boundary between the two, they are totally different die events from totally different causes. The reason I have leaned towards PIDT, is the fact that your coin shows extremely worn dies, both obverse and reverse, which is when you will see the ghosting most apparent. I'm not sure what some of what you are seeing actually is, because it's such a worn die, much of what is going on in the fields is mushy looking. Here is a link of a 1944 Lincoln Cent to check out that has very strong clashing. LINK https://www.maddieclashes.com/adc-1c-1944-01/

I agree with MAKE and also with KURD about Ghosting = PIDT. This coin show a more accetualted PIDT.
