Iam not sure if this is a PMD thing or what. Thoughts?

(***updated on 1/12***)
I have added three microscope:close-up pictures to this post so I am hoping this will provide a little more clarity

It looks like a more recent PMD. The damaged area in brighter than the coin.. No idea how it happened.

Can you get a sharper picture of the area in question?

Sharper closeup would help.

Allways best to remove coins from the flips as, sometimes the plastic causes
problems with the photos.
My thought is a lamination peel under lincoln, or just most likely damaged somehow.

I will take a picture under the scope tonight. I was killing time waiting for my flight, so I was hoping the pictures were good enough but I apologize.

Could be, but also might be a gimungous Rim Fin that is now all rolled over and squashed.
