First, this is not my coin. Second, I am not questioning the seller, I am just trying to learn more about correctly judging the color and condition on Lincoln Cents. This 1909-S VDB Lincoln sold this week on ebay. The seller looks to be a respectable one with 100% positive feedback. The color looks original to me, but as I said, I am still learning and have been fooled by artificially colored Lincolns and Indians in the past. These are the seller's photos. Your thoughts? This is a known seller that juices their images and manipulates photos. They have positive feedback, but apparently many negative and neutral feedbacks have been removed. They must have recently changed their name from Canyon City Coins. Looks like it has nice luster, but I wouldn't trust these photos.

Stay away from this seller.
Every photo is tampered.

I have seen some things from this seller also. Most of the photos or coins are altered.

I'll say MS-63.

Quote: I am just trying to learn more about correctly judging the color and condition on Lincoln Cents so, just looking at the photo only, barring any juicing be the seller, the color would be on the lower end of RB, however keep in mind lighting is a big factor so you really can't use these as completely accurate. one must ask yourself if you had an MS 09SVDB would you slab it to preserve it? then why is this coin raw? as for grade i'd call it MS62 ugly as a side note the coin is genuine and is obv die #2

You have to ask: why isn't this coin in a holder?

Quote: whats this? since those lines cross over the devices I don't think it was a planchet flaw. I've never seen that on any other 09Svdb so I'm leary to say its die related also so this only leaves one answer that I can think of...PMD. it looks like some type of roller and another reason why this coin is not slabbed
