1944 S Mercury dime are this classified as Heavy die scratches as well?

@primo, I've split off your reply to that old thread so that we can give your coin sufficient attention. Die scratches will be raised on a coin, while scratches from circulation will be inset. From these pics, I think that your dime mostly has scratches from circulation.

 These look like scratches on the coin or a past harsh cleaning. The fact that the lines continue across the neck suggests that they are not die polishing lines or scratches, which usually aren't seen on the devices.  to CCF!

Yeah likely not Die Scratches, but scratches on your coin Post Mint. PMD. It does lower the value, but I would certainly keep it.

Some of the lines in the close ups look raised, so possibly fine die cracks or die polish lines. But most of those on your original photos look like cleaning lines. Close ups of the neck and right obverse field might help.

A combination of heavy die erosion visible around the periphery and harsh cleaning lines. I don't see any die scratches, just small cracks and flow lines.
