The first six weeks of 2024 were very disappointing -- I found only one 1964 Kennedy half dollar and one 40% Kennedy half dollar after searching through six $500 boxes. In addition, I found only one 40% silver coin after purchasing about $100 worth of half dollars that customers had cashed at local banks. Today my luck changed. I acquired a customer-wrapped roll at one of the banks I visit. I saw an "ender" when I opened the roll, and then watched 19 silver coins spill out of the wrapper: four 1964 Kennedy half dollars and 15 40% silver coins. Oddly enough, the 20th coin in this roll was a 2015 Kennedy half dollar -- demonstrating that someone unfamiliar with silver coinage had counted the 19 silver coins and added a recent one to complete the roll! Don't give up trying to acquire your lucky find...  Edited by NorthShoreMA

Wow, it certainly was your lucky day. It's like finding treasure... quite a rush. Just keep tabs with your friendly banks. It will eventually pay off.

Nice. Reminds me of around 2008-09 when I used to find a couple solid silver rolls each month. I knew of others, including a bank manager ordering boxes for themselves that didn't keep the 40% halves, only the 90%; some boxes were half full of silver back then. Was great while it lasted.
