Hello Everyone
This is my very first post here and hope I'm in the right place.I do have a Question about Mint Marks.Looking through some pennys a while back and noticed the MM was in a Diff Location,Same Year it's just in a Totally diff spot.On one it's below the 8,on the other it's below the 9,Is this pretty common.are they worth keeping or should I spend away..Thanks for you're thoughts.

Before 1990 the mint mark was applied to the hub by hand, so they can and will vary in location. Some that touch the devices might be worth saving.

As rockdude pointed out, Lincoln Cent mintmarks were hand punched up to 1989. The location could vary. If the mm is touching the rim or other devices such as a number, it is collectible known as a misplaced mintmark. Yours are normal placement on both coins.

They were applied to each individual die by hand, not the hub. The mint mark is now on the hub that creates each die so the placement is identical. The individual placement by hand on each die also led to repunched mint marks(RPMs) and over mint marks(OMMs), both of which are quite collectible.
