The head of the coin has an odd 37 on the bust. Is it a possible mint error or did someone just damage it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Images are skewed, better straight-on shots needed.

Pics are good enough for me. Looks like someone smacked a 1937 coin into this one.

It is inclused, and if it was just hit from a 1937 it wouldn't be backwards would it? It would read correctly?

Pictures are not the best but it looks like your coin took a hit from another coin. Post mint damage.

Yes, it would be seen on the other coin as a reverse image. When one coin is pressed hard enough into another it acts as a die of sorts leaving the image and letters in reverse when they transfer.

Since the 37 is backwards and impressed into the surface, it shows another coin was squeezed together with this one and the image transferred. It is post mint damage.
