Heavily circulated coin, low VG perhaps. Silver bullion value only.

@Stacy - why do newcomers to the hobby feel the need to use the term ' no mint'? Do you know what it means for this coin.

Low end VG--lost of circulation wear. Would be an adequate album hole filler until better comes along.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but since it has now been brought up twice, I reckon that at least some of this is due to our insistence here at CCF that the mintmark be part of the title of each thread. Below is boilerplate language that the mods add when someone doesn't include the information in their title:

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

Someone new here who sees this on another thread might feel obligated to address the mintmark in some way, but not yet have the specialized knowledge about why mintmarks weren't used on certain coins at certain points in US history. Please remember that we were all noobs here at one time. Thx.

Philly mint, Stacyfae. This is a normal mint mark for that mint.

Welcome to the CCF! :)
