Hello everyone. My first official post. I was going through some coin jars and found this little guy. I have been looking all over the Internet and couldn't find anything similar. What you all think?
@pcat, first welcome to CCF. Second, while that doesn't look like a DDO to me, I'm not sure what exactly it is. I'm interested to see what others think.

Very interesting, yes. Wondering (just wondering) if an intense application of heat may have been involved, along with some 'directional' pressure of a near lateral nature. Appears there may have been a die chip in the 9. Coin appears to be slightly out-of-round.
Struck with false dies a possibility? Have seen it on an 1878 Morgan dollar and if I remember correctly, also on a V nickle previously posted on here as well.
It looks like it's been pushed out-of-round, which would mean that the coin was struck in the collar and then something was used to stretch the rim. Maybe faults dies as suggested. I'm just not sure.
