Quote: Where are the past HFBCWG contributions? Quote: 1) The coin must be dated. It can be an AD date, an AH date, some other calendar (with explanation and preferably some kind of citation), or even a regnal date (again, with explanation and preferably citation), but it has to be a date. I, for one, have some of these dates covered, but only because the minting date is known and not because the date is in the inscription.

Quote: Yikes, we've entered the wasteland!! Indeed! This was somewhat to be expected, though the sheer wasteland-ness of this period still surprised me; I expected at least some entries for those missing years in the early 1460s. (The intent of this thread was to focus on actual dates to avoid [most of] the problems that the HFBCWG threads have been grappling with recently, regarding trying to figure out whether the assorted "datable" coins were in fact datable to a particular year - and, as a consequence, to establish which areas of HFBCWG might do well with some shoring-up if we don't want disputes about whether they progressed fairly.) That said, AFAICT we should enter another sequence of eligible entries starting tomorrow (when we get to 1460).

Quote:Moving again! Very nice! Very nice indeed! Currently missing dates: 1464, 1463, 1462, 1461. As a reminder, while this thread accepts catch-up posts in general, this is especially the case for dates that hadn't been found yet. So if you get a coin from one of those dates, feel free to post it here! My next entry is at 1452, which we should get to in a week. Looking forward to it.
