Beautiful groschen!
Interesting that they used XL but also CCCC and IIII. Was that particular type of subtractive Roman numerals accepted earlier than the others?

Some great Gujarat coins, @ttkoo!
I expected the early 1440s to have decent coverage, but didn't realize it would be that good. (I think the 1430s have good coverage as well; we'll see.)
Missing years so far: 1464, 1463, 1462, 1461, 1457, 1454, 1446. Now that we have 1442, even if 1441 ends up missing, that would only take us to 95% exactly.

Thx for posting @bd and @ttk! Glad to have someone keeping the torch lit as I only have undated, but datable coins until we hit 1438.

Quote:Excellent examples! Lots of Gujarat coins from @ttkoo and Jaunpur coins from @bd251. I've been looking into the Jaunpur series as a possibility for a theoretical 15th century OFEY back in Moscow, but I wasn't aware of the Gujarat coinage at the time. I suppose there were probably a few more Indian states (and several non-Indian states, for that matter) making (AH-)dated coinage across the 15th century. I hope that some day I end up in a place where I can pursue that kind of goals without too much cumbersome legal restriction. I'm somewhat envious of the collectors in USA and Australia who can do that already. Missing years so far: 1464, 1463, 1462, 1461, 1457, 1454, 1446. Next up (tomorrow) is 1440 and we'll see how that one goes (IIRC it was a tricky one and 1439 even more so).
