The rim looks very wide, haven't seen one like that before.

The coin doesn't look "funny", but the images appear to have been enhanced. I'll speculate that it is either an ebay listing from China, or it's a domestic listing which is being hyped as a high grade, problem free example. Obviously questionable.

I am far from an expert on these, but Seated dollars are commonly counterfeited. Given the large number of counterfeit Seated dollars out there, I would only buy either a certified coin or from a known and trusted dealer when looking at Seated dollars. Ken

The coin looks OK as far as the design elements and letters are concerned. Wide rims are pretty normal for no-motto Seated dollars. This dollar has pretty clearly been cleaned and maybe polished but it could still be authentic. If you are thinking about buying this coin I would insist on having it sent to ANACS for authentication, either before you buy or after you get a firm guarantee that the seller will refund your money if ANACS calls it a fake. If it is real, the cleaning should reduce the price by maybe 25-30% compared to the price for an original example in similar (VF/XF) condition.

The obverse looks really strange. I thought sand cast, but the reverse has way more detail than it would being sand cast. I think its just been quite harshly cleaned. I agree that the ANACS guarantee would be warranted before buying.

The coin looks good to me but, without a digital scale to determine an accurate weight, all I can say is "return policy" or NO sale. Don't trust any seller on ebay who does not offer a return policy for these Seated Liberty type coins. Also looks heavily cleaned.

My first impression was heavily cleaned. If on ebay beware of sellers from China when it comes to coins. I have seen numerous auctions of "copies" or "replicas" of all sorts of American coins. But what disturbs me most are the sellers listing obvious fakes as genuine! And alot of these are Dollars of all types from Bust to Peace.

Your coin definitely is cleaned. It also looks too good to be true. (We all know what that means.) I think if you take all precautions against a fake, and you like the price, venturing forward may be warranted. Good Luck! Keep us posted!

Looks like someone cleaned the heck out of it. $200 tops if you like shiny coins, and weigh it if you get it.
