Well eddiespin to this forum, as you may already know Machine Doubling can look like that and a deteriorating die also.

'machine' doubling - not 'mechanical' doubling...and yes, that's what you have.

On that date and mint mark, I agree. But you're saying, also, under the nose, on the lips, and under the tie, as well. Just want to nail that down. It's a yes or no question, Copper. Thanks.

Can you provide sharper pictures? These are blurry. Thanks.

Can't answer that - only the image of the date and mintmark is clear enough to tell anything.

Copper thanks for clarifying. My camera is on loan right now. I'll try and get you and vermontensium some clearer pictures when I get it back.

Appears to be damage from what I can see. Nothing doubled, just slightly disfigured.

Coop, I'm kinda stuck for theories on how it may have happened. Take a good look at it. In the first set of pics, I showed the date and mm, and that's pretty obviously the result of strike damage. Just that says this coin took a pretty good jolt when it was struck. Do I connect that "rocking and rolling" (if you will) to the second set of pics, to explain the "disfigurement," there? Or, rather, is that disfigurement post-mint damage (i.e., an event independent of the strike)? And, even then, supposing we're going to call that an independent post-mint event, what, possibly, could have caused it? Take a look at it, again. I'll take any theories, whatsoever, on that, at this stage, whether plausible or not...

Contact from even coins in the same bin can distort/damage one or both coins. Looks like my mother-in-laws car. Metal moved from contact with something else.

I had just never seen MD make those kinds of marks, Tony. But, like I said, you look at that date and mm (first set of pics), and it's clear this coin took a real jolt. So, without more, I guess I'm kinda leaning that way. Thanks.
