I'll say both are genuine, AU-58 and AU-53, respectively

Both appears genuine by appearance, but the 3 dollar gold piece has been cleaned at one point.

They both appear genuine, but be aware that the 1925-D quarter eagle is a commonly counterfeited coin. The fakes are often struck in gold and can be so good that it can be almost impossible to tell by photos alone.

The 3 Dollar coin isn't MS? The fields look clean. I'm a novice with gold coins.

It would be best to show larger images of each in separate threads.

The three dollar piece definitely has some wear on the high points.
