Well, the first one is damaged, so I prefer the second one.

I prefer the look of the first one, but the obverse scratches are a negative. The second one is in better shape and probably looks better in hand.

Neither have very good eye appeal. I wouldn't want either of them at those prices.

I have looked on Vcoin, local shops and ebay and for 40 bucks you are not going to find anything like that sitting around. I know if you look and make it your job to find a great deal you can. But all in this coin is a fine condition coin and the price is reasonable. Not a steal but not bad at all. If you are saying. you would only collect extra fine to mint state I get it. but price to condition this is not bad.

I agree. You have to fill the hole on the budget you have, not the one you wish you had.

Hard for me to get past the scratches on the first one.

Does the second one have a graffiti letter 'L' after "ONE" on the reverse? Maybe it's just an odd coincidence that it looks that way.

I wouldn't buy either, I picked this one up for $25 and it looks better even being details than the 2 posted.

If that's an option, then I agree.

The second coin just sold on ebay this morning. Their additional photos actually look better, but there does appear to be an L scratched onto the reverse.

I'd wait until better examples come along.
