I see a milk spot on the shoulder.I am not good at grading, that said I see it at PR65. Also, please no more photos of your scopes' screen. I moved your thread to the proper section as well. John1

Thank you, John. I was not aware of the scope photo requirement, my apologies. **I will re-read the rules**. I tried to capture the letter lines with just my phone camera, but it wasn't coming out clear enough.

Very nice example. Perhaps a minor Die Deterioration issue on the reverse. PR65+; possibly PR66.

Quote: I'm handling with gloves and taking great care not to touch its surfaces. Am I lucky or a fool? I'd say you are playing with fire. I recommend reading this thread from last year where a CCF member accidentally scratched a valuable Franklin proof half dollar DDR while handling it with gloves. Always remember that you can pick up a tiny bit of metal dust or sandy grit from the environment, and that will be more than sufficient to scratch a pristine silver surface. http://goccf.com/t/446633Also keep in mind that exhaled water droplets and other contamination might be sufficient to cause spotting. I'm not an expert in these things by any stretch, but handling proofs always stresses me a bit.

Definitely a beautiful half! But remember if you are hoping to have this slabbed with a registry set level grade on it, that likely will not happen. Also remember a coin can be cracked out and re-submitted, even to the same company and come back with a totally different grade. Of course we would all hope if you did it came back a winner, but:

Very nice Proof Franklin. Does appear to have milk spot on the obverse.

Nice looking proof but grading proofs from pictures is a crap shoot. Especially when the coin is tilted.

only one reverse shot straight on makes it a challenge. who knows what the camera is picking up
could be as high as PF67 or as low as PF65
is that some scratches on the second obv shot right under the cheekbone?
