*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

I purchased a mixed lot of coins a while back, there was a handful of clad proof Roosevelt dimes among other high end FDR dimes into this lot, today I got tired not getting anything new, so decided to pull these out to search if there's any varieties.

Everything seems normal until this proof like Denver stood out, the field are almost similar to proof, when I look at the reverse, and compared to other proof, the torch looks a lot sharper and had more details than a business strike, looking over CherryPickers' Guide, sure enough it is the FS-901, Reverse of 1968, except the one I have exhibit semi mirror like appearance, like on a proof coin. I'm thinking this probably was one of the early strike, coin has minor toning, just my iPhone can't capture how this should look like. I need better equipment.

Cool find. Another FS-901, reverse of 1968, was posted on this forum a few weeks ago, but it was in much worse shape than this one.

Great FS-901 & Looks to be a very high MS grade. Worth slabbing perhaps?

Thanks all,
I would like to take this one to a coin show and show it to the experts specialize of this type of modern coin, if you look at the PCGS examples https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin...68-fb/511017, the fields has a lot of striations polish marks, where the one I have is similar to proof finish? Unless Denver Mint uses also the proof dies to do business strike by accident?
