Yes indeed a WAM. The columns might be having plating issues, but that is speculation on my part.

Thanks everyone at the third ozne I found since I've been hunting. But I still can't find nothing about columns and bays on the 1998. I guess there are none out there. So I'm leaning towards the zinc thing

I was under the impression that it was only the proof 1998 Wide AM that was rare. The coins in circulation are commonly Wide AM. Is that wrong?
