A friend just posted a Radical Mad Die Clash and reminded me that I found one a few years ago but I never posted it here on the Modern Error page. Thanks for looking.

I think the discovery was made by a member here.

Thanks, everyone, this was a fun find! I posted this on another site several years ago and Bob Piazza from coppercoins.com had to clue me in on what I had, thanks Bob.

My searching for varieties and errors actually started with Morgan dollars, spent about six years on VAMWorld before it became 2.0.

so what letters make the impressions on the obverse?
No letters on the obverse, even in the early die stage, which I do not have.

The more that you know is out there, the more will see and find. That's why it's important to know as many varieties and errors as possible, so when you search you don't come up empty as often.

Neat error coin. I think it's pretty cool that there are so many obscure little treasures out there, just being used by folks as everyday pocket change. All it takes is knowledge and dedication, and you can find some nifty stuff.

Obviously, it takes a great eye to find coins like this one. Well done. =)
