Quote:I also received my Dansco 2x2 coin stock book. Pretty decent for storing my Buffalo nickels... Very nice! Quote: I may have to add a few other sets as well. Not sure yet. had every coin except for that super expensive type ll proof from 1981... My SBA set is a simple 15 coin set. I do not have any of the varieties. They are stored in a single 16 hole SBA dollar Dansco page. The 16th hole holds the Mint medal from the 1982 proof set, placed where an SBA would have been.

Interesting. I'll have to look into that. Honestly, the SBA dollar though is one of my favorite designed coins.

Alright, so.. I haven't done much with this set since completing it. However, I recently did a bit of a revamp. I combined the proof/BU coins I had from my 8113 album into this one. I really didn't feel like searching through and doing an entire new set of these, so I opted to just "upgrade" some of the coins I had. I still like this set very much and will continue adding some proofs. War Nickels - Some are in good shape, some highly worn I added the 47 and 47-D, which are both UNC with a bit of toning. Page 2, with the 1950-D, the main key date of the series. Swapped a couple here for BU coins Most of these are UNC/BU The rest of these are all pretty worn Here is where I opted to start with the proofs. The first one I have is 1957. I also plan to get the 56. But I think the way I have it sorted out, I'll have room for an additional 2-3 proofs. I may add some older ones as well. Kind of depends, as farther back you go, the more costly they get. I don't imagine I will go any farther than say, 1950, if that. Anything older and it would cost quite a bit and probably be kept slabbed. Here are the SMS coins as well. Funny how similar they look to the other proof coins of the time. Here is from 1975-1985 proofs, but I am missing several The rest of this my plan is to go up until 2004. I am not collecting the newer Jefferson 2006 and newer coins. As you can see, I am missing several coins. But there really isn't a rush personally, and they aren't really too costly. I received the 62 proof and 80 yesterday for like, 4 bucks total I think from ebay. That's all for now! I may replace some of the others in good time with BU coins. We shall see!

A very nice set indeed!
I've been working on my own Jefferson set ever since I began collecting in 1971. I only fill up my albums with coins I find in change, so I don't have any of the rarer 38/39s or a 50-D. Outside of those, I'm missing several D coins from the last 15 years, and strangely enough, the non-rare 79-D. I keep wondering if that date will ever show up in my palm.

Thank you! Well, the majority of the coins I found from bank roll hunting. I had purchased the 1950-D and the 1939-D, which set me back I think 20 bucks total for both, which wasn't too bad. But trying to find them in circulation/bank roll hunting would have taken probably forever, if ever found, so I opted to purchase.
There were a few others I had purchased as well simply because I was tired of looking for them in coin roll hunting and was impatient. Lol. I can't really remember what they are, though.

I finally finished collecting all the proofs from 1956-2005. I had multiple coins ordered from ebay, and with free shipping, I swear, I feel it literally took forever! I was waiting on one single 2004 coin! Now... I'm not entirely sure what to do. I have all my proofs together in the end of my album. I went to start working on a new set in a Dansco album, solely from circulation. However, the only free album I have is the proof album. I'm not sure if I should transfer all the coins into there, then use the BU album as my new circulation album or what. I really like the way this looks having all the proofs together, especially since all proofs are conjoined now since Dansco only has spots for 1971 and newer. I do also have a few extra spots on the end. I might add a 55 and 54 proof, but not sure yet. If I go the route of swapping albums, I'll put the 56-1970 proofs/SMS in the back here. Unfortunately, there will be empty slots still. An extra proof I have. There is also another option, I suppose... My OCD disagrees with it, though. Lol. I could just use the proof album and throw in the circulation coins anyways, and just put random coins into the proof slots, or put in nickels of the same date but with the reverse showing. Any thoughts? Still my favorite set of coins. I am also contemplating somewhere down the line adding the older proofs as well from 38, 39, 40, etc.

I like seeing all the proofs together, too. Well done!

Thanks! What I'd honestly like is another album that is like the 7113 album just for circulation/coin roll hunting. But I see it as a waste of time given the fact that I already have a blank album. If I could get some cheap pages, I'd do that. But they aren't cheap either. Lol.

Agreed, it would be best to adapt what you already have.
