Can you tell me what happened to the bottom of the U in Trust. It's raised metal just in this spot on this 1961 D Lincoln.

To me, it looks slightly flattened due to mechanical damage. I don't think that it is a doubled die or die chip.

That's what I guessed it might be. It's still difficult to see these kinds of things when the areas around seem to be unaffected. Sooo, that's why I asked my expert friends.
