Nice example. Unfortunate the reverse has that corrosive blivit. Still, very cool.

The reverse is unfortunate, but at 107 years it is still a nice example!

I look at the error forums regularly even though I haven't spent a lot of time searching my coins. I know that DDs and RPMs can carry premiums, even on circulated coins and especially if listed in Cherrypicker's Guide. Although I have stumbled across a couple of Cuds and laminations over the years, I have not looked through my huge pile of wheat cents in detail for these anomalies. Do these also carry premiums, enough for me to spend the time searching? I'll be glad to do that and put my CP to good use. Just curious.

Thanks.

Yes. Spectacular (emphasis on spectacular) lamination issues can increase the value of a coin--but not enough to pay for seats on the 50 yard line at an obscure college football bowl game.

Very few people get rich from collecting coins, in fact, if you calculate what you make per hour you will be disappointed. Just have fun in the hunt.

I like this one, despite the corrosion on the reverse. Nice find

Thanks for the replies. I'm not really trying to calculate monetary payback per hour. Since I still work full time, I have limited time to spend on my collection and try to focus on areas where there is reason to holder coins and make notes. I've done this with all my Morgan dollars and Buffalo nickels, but with very few Lincoln cents - only those where the anomaly was obvious to the naked eye. SO many more of those to put under the stereoscope!

Looks like a struck through "toothpick"...may have been also an under-weight planchet.....just my thought.
