1964 Kennedy Halves Variations - Coin Community Forum

So I have a few 1964 Kennedy halves that I'm hoping you can help me with to determine what type of mint they are. As you probably know there were a few types made at the Philadelphia mint. I'm providing you pictures of two different ones because I'm not sure if one (the duller) is a matte finish which makes it a Special Strike. The The other I can't decide if it is a proof or regular strike and if it is accented hair or not. I included a side by side to compare. They are in wonderful condition so I'm going to get them graded and want to put them up for auction at Heritage. Thanks in advance. Neither coin is worth the grading cost unless you want them slabbed, authenticated and with a TPG grade. Report this Post to the Staff

There are hundreds of thousands of them that are graded that shouldn't be. Don't waste your money on coins that are only worth silver content. Report this Post to the Staff

Also at pcgs.com you can check population report and "their" price guide (I always subtract at least 20% for "real" value) ebay sold listing is more realistic.
