I have searched but have not found any info about if the mint has any plans to offer a special version of these for 2026
I know the current legislation is only for circulating coins but would then need legisaltion to just add the Bell and the 1776-2026 dates to them?

There are so many things, but many are not appropriate for discussion here. One thing I can say is how expensive everything is, many of hope to still have a coin budget in 2026!

Right, I just mean most US institutions and norms are under scrutiny right now. Everything is being examined. Will they privatize the US Mint? Scary times. Edit if you don't see anything wrong with what's going on now, I can respect that and probably best not to turn my comment on to a big political rant thread. I've probably said too much already and hope everything turns out ok In response to the original question, if they are going to issue commemorative circulating dollar coinage, I'd assume your answer is no, it'll be a Sacagawea dollar (Native American I guess is what it's referred to now) or something on that same blank. They won't issue a circulating coin in silver or on that sized blank. It's hard to know if they'll want to it be able to change the Morgan/Peace dollar for 2026. To me it defeats the purpose of the coin to alter it. Possibly a 250 privy would be appropriate. What would be a cool thing to do is do W mint marks quarters with a 250 privy and release into circulation in limited amounts similar (exactly) like they did for the 75th anniversary of the end of WW2 in 2020.

Morgans are being restruck as long as they can make $$$$. A " 250 " counter-stamp or Incused numerical 250, like the reverse of the Franklin half Dollars, The Eagle insignia.!!! ( as noted prior ). I like the idea. Remember, There were No Morgans minted After 1921, So the " 100th-anniversary " theme Has been gone since 2021. Now the Peace silver Dollars are a series that went from 1921through 1928, stopped and again minted them in 1934&1935, So a true Anniversary for the Peace series would be 2026, Just a fyi.

Indeed, something worthy of ones consideration and concern. Quote: Will they privatize the US Mint? Scary times. I'd definitely be for that! There's no doubt that a lot of waste is being covered up by the seigniorage. NO! That is, unless they allow collectors to buy them from the mint as well. I've been buying the quarter sets from the mint for years. Everything was complete up until they did the drop of the W quarters. My loyalty to the mint products got me nothing. Mostly what was accomplished is that a bunch of people with first access to quarters made money. My daughter and I have been searching our quarters since the release. She literally found the only one for us about three weeks ago. The quantity in circulation was far too little to keep young children motivated to find them. Plus, I want uncirculated quarters, not almost uncirculated ones.
