Still looking at this roll of Unc. 1981s . Does the first picture show PMD or did this happen at mint. Would it be called a Cud? What could have caused this if it happened at the mint? And does anyone have an opinion as to the grade.?It looks very nice to me but the strike doesn't seem very strong. Wasn't that normal for most all 80's cents?

Looks like Die Dents. As for the grade, maybe MS-64.

I agree, die dents. As for the strike, I've noticed that seems to be the way 80 and 81 look most of the time, I don't think I have ever found one with a strong clean strike.

I agree with the Die Dents. I've found a few of these over the years, but I don't see them too often. Actually, this forum is where I found out what they were called.

Seems like a fun find to me--maybe 2x2 worthy. Nice work @gigi!
