1971 Quarter With Odd Looking Line Going Thru The Wing

McLovin2Fresh New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 03/07/2025 6:27 pm Came across a good looking 71 quarter, it's got this odd line that goes down the back behind the letters and seems to continue all the way down thru the eagles wing. -makecents- Pillar of the Community United States 8730 Posts	Posted 03/07/2025 7:40 pm Your first pic, coming from the rim and running down through UM of UNUM is a die crack, what is down in the wing area, as igwt79 has pointed out, is from a die clash. Two separate anomalies but possibly related, as die cracks are sometimes directly related to clashing that cause the die to weaken.
