Hey all, looking for opinions on this one, particularly whether you think it's original or has been cleaned/dipped. Thanks as always!

Because darn this coin looks almost perfect.

It looks like there is still "frost," making it look original to me.

Yes Greasy Fingers, they are seller pics. I also thought it looked great, which experience has taught me there's a decent chance it's been futzed with. The seller seems reputable and his other items' photos do show flaws, so I'm less suspicious of the pictures than the coin itself. Thanks for the reply!

The reverse looks pretty good but the obverse is just looking a bit "off" - maybe just the lighting. But the surface on the cheek doesn't look smooth as struck but more like a fine "whizz" was put on it. It's to the point now where if I see any concern I'm passing - but that is just me, I've wasted a lot of time returning coins.

Not many marks, but not much luster, especially on the obverse. Suggests to me that it's overdipped.

The obverse looks off, maybe overdipped?

The obverse does appear unusual to me. The reverse looks okay for a choice MS piece. I think the obverse has been worked on in some way, maybe chemically.

Thanks all! That was my suspicion, I just don't deal with overdipped coins much. I appreciate the help as always.

The especially smooth obverse is unusual, but I might take a chance if the price is right and there are return privileges. '03O is expensive in any grade. I think it's safe to say that any Morgan this clean has been treated in some way, but the reverse doesn't look bad at all. If anything, I'm afraid that the obverse photo has been "edited."

Agree with the above. It has been messed with. Any coin like that would be in a graded holder.

AU details, some type of surface alteration. At least from these photos. Probably whizzed.

Would love to see that coin in hand but if you are going off these pictures, I think obverse whizzed sounds correct. I can get on board with UNC Details but they seem to "grade" AU Details.
