Yes, rather advanced stage of die deterioration--can't rule out some grease issues as well.

I'm thinking Die Deterioration and a Struck Through Grease issue as well.

Yeah, that looks like it was primarily caused by extreme Die Deterioration. Maybe some circulation wear or exposure to a weakly acidic environment, too. That will make devices fuzzier.
