This is the early rendition of the star privy, never ended up anything like that, so I'm not holding my breath. The one-time past experience is that it won't be that elaborate and probably not placed in the spot that makes sense. Unless the mint actually listened to comments

In that rendition, the Star appears stamped into the surface, and the position is similar to the v75 ASE.

Collectors, in general, prefer consistency in what they collect.

If it had been done this way, it is possible that they would be selling for much than their current price of $45 - $50.

I have to admit, I am all-in on the proof and reverse proof Innovation Dollars. Putting them in the P&D Dansco. I am not collecting P&D Innovation dollars though.

After all is said and done, it's still a 500,000 population. It was hyped at first, which has calmed down.
The next one will probably be the same, maybe less since people know the prices will normalize.

I'm disappointed by what I think will become an excessive use of privy marks to sell ASEs.

I just started to collect these and I thought they were at the top of US Coin Collecting food chain

But now it looks like they are going to saturate the market with multiple releases per year bring down the level of prestige relegated to the quarter sets.

Well if you don't mind me saying, this may be a bit of an exaggeration.
One of the online sellers has posted data about 2024 ASE production. I'd rather see data from the US Mint, but let's assume the numbers are accurate. And let me give the last few years of production from their list, I'll start with 2022 to another the type 1 and 2 changeover:
2022 16,000,000 (15,963,500 per wiki)
2023 24,750,000 (correct per wiki)
2024 22,860,000
Star Privy 500,000, (they give separately, so I'm assuming this is an addition to the other figure)
(Above numbers from silvereagleguide.com)
So this is both a large and small number, depending on how you look at it. Compared to the normal bullion production, it's small. So in that sense, it doesn't really constitute flooding the market with them exactly. It's large enough though that you also can't compare it to a rare coin. It doesn't come close to a rare ASE, I mean even removing the obvious 1995W or 2019S ERP, there are a lot of as ASEs rarer than that. The price for a raw version should settle down to maybe $10 more than a non privy 2024.
So I don't really look at it as cheapening the ASE "brand".
Possibly some of the people winning these in this game will become interested collectors. Possibly that's why the Mint has even agreed to do this. They couldn't swing a proof, but they agreed to making this many bullion issues. I'm thinking the reason was so the existing collectors aren't all upset. Can you imagine if they made 10,000 and only offered them to this gaming company?
I think this strikes a good balance.
But like you, I'm hoping for only 1-2 issues a year.

Thanks for the article link, Gilly. By my tally, that makes eight distinct ASE's for 2025 release:
1. Bullion
2. Bullion w/ Eagle Privy
3. Proof - S
4. Proof - W
5. Unc - W
6. Proof - Army
7. Proof - Navy
8. Proof - USMC
Time to review the 2025 collecting budget. . .So it goes.

Sounds about right. Then I have to add the congrats set and LESPS.
Compared to when I was acquiring my set, which took a couple years, it's doable.
This is assuming the Mint will let us off the hook with the one privy mark. That's what I'm hoping for, despite all I said. I'm really sure they wouldn't do more than two a year. I'm even trying to think what they all would use as an appropriate privy mark. Hopefully nothing commercial, related to that game. A star or an eagle I can handle.
With the proof military anniversary proofs, yeah it's going to add up

I thought in 2021 with the reverse design change the Mint couldn't possibly have another year with as many flavors, I stand corrected. Also with the price increases, this year will be way more expensive.

@Morgan's Dad: The USMint product schedule shows:

6. Proof - Army - West Point
7. Proof - Navy - San Francisco
8. Proof - USMC - Philadelphia
My guess is they will all be mint marked. . .

Correct, Billy, mint marked.
I'd commented at some point this will be the first Philly mm ASE since I think 2000? So that's exciting.
Or at least first proof since then, they did some reverse proofs in the 2000s
