According to Bullion Exchanges 500K of the 2025 ASE are going to have an eagle privy NGC slabbed, last year it was a star. 500K isn't rare but those who collect ASE will want one. I have a few ASE proofs and reverse proofs graded but I'm mostly just a stacker and won't pay any extra premium for privy marks. Could be more privys in future years, money for the mint, dealers, graders. I'm not big into grading companies marketing labels like First Strike, Early Releases, etc. https://bullionexchanges.com/2025-e...-ngc-gem-uncEdited by livingwater 03/31/2025 9:58 pm

It doesn't make sense to have a slabbed bullion coin. Quote: This unique feature adds a layer of rarity and collectible value to the coin. Whatever. If you have to tell me that it's "collectible", it's not.

Marve, I've had enough of the Mint's foolishness and I'm not going to play their little game.

Quote: It doesn't make sense to have a slabbed bullion coin. If I may say, that's an opinion, not a fact. And bearing in mind, it's nothing I really collect, either. If that's what some collectors are in to, there's no one going to tell them it's wrong. Some bullion is rare to find in high grades. I've gotten a few of the "mint sealed" types of ASEs, which aren't graded, but are sealed, fresh out of the tube. No idea why I think these are cool, but I do. As far as the eagle privy, that's been rumored since last year already. I don't think I've seen anything official from the mint on that yet. I'll get one, but not like last time when I got a case of the fomo and had to buy a slabbed one. I'll just get a normal non slabbed one for my bullion collection. I don't really mind having to buy an extra ASE here and there to keep my bullion set complete, it's just not that big of a deal either way (whether the mint makes them or not).

This is getting a little bit excessive and if they keep doing it I think it will depress the ASE market long term Plus someone needs to tell the mint that if you going to keep doing privy marks it's best to use the same style and format V75 stamped into the 2020 coin looked great A star that was part of the relief under the designers initials for the 2024 was weird Now they decided to do the same thing with a relief flying eagle above the initials I would have been more likely to buy this have it been stamped into the coin in the same place they put the V75 I hope the military ASEs are not as stupid as this Since no one has posted piics, this is what I have found so far

Interesting. In my opinion, the privy mark loses more of its appeal with each successive product release.

I agree.
I purchased the 2018 RP Innovation Dollar because it was unique, but I have not bought another RP, not even the sets.
The mint sold the RPs separately in 2019 and 2020, but by 2021 they had to package them together as a set, and they still sold slowly compared the regular proof set.
There will always be completists but the value and demand seems to drop when companies do this.

There should be tiny "TDR" initials by the privy, since this is a direct steal from the Sacagawea dollar reverse.

That's assuming this is actually what the privy mark will be, and also where it's placed.
