I'm thinking about selling off my ASEs Tubes of 20 some mixed dates, some not. I have a nephew that's into selling stuff on the web....not my thing. I have an idea about how much I want per tube, but it has to be worth his while also.

The lowest I see on ebay is $737.17, while most of the big sellers are in the $750 range. Both prices include shipping.

You shouldn't have any problem selling the ASE, but remember that on ebay you need to account for the sellers fee (12-13% or so). You may want to check with a LCS and see what their buy price is, usually it is spot + a premium, with spot $32.20, around $33-33.50 or so).

If you factor in ebay costing about 15%, and now there is reporting plus aggravation for flakes, a cash and carry sale to LCS looks better and better. Why not just post it here?

Definitely wouldn't do ebay. They are too buyer friendly and too lenient with the return policy forced on sellers. What if the silver spot price tanks to around $25 and a buyer wants to return them? I would do one of the following: 1) call around local coin shops to see what they offer 2) check Craigslist - there are always people actively buying PMs on there. Just be very careful with this option. 3) Offer up here or another precious metal forum. There are plenty out there, but you may experience some hesitation with potential buyers as a new member on a forum if you join one just to sell.

ebay is not the best place for bullion. I try to sell straight to collectors/stackers when possible. You should be able to get $700/roll straight away. $750 on ebay nets you about $640 without a store.

glenmorenee and CoinHunter made a great suggestion: list them here on the CCF. Call your LCS first to see what they offer and see if you can do better here. And I agree with everyone - ebay is not your best option. I cited those prices to show what others could be buying them for.

Quote: Why not just post it here? Exactly. I sold quite a bit of silver here over the last few years. It sells well. Especially bullion pieces at or near melt. I always say that I prefer USPS money orders (they're as good as cash), but most of the buyers are old-time members so I take checks from them. No fees to list here and no fees if you take checks or money orders. And I've never had a problem selling here, not once! I ship Priority Mail insured for the full value. As for what price to ask, I suggest melt rounded up to the nearest $10 plus shipping, or even split shipping with buyers. Right now NGC says melt is $32.41 each, so I'd say ask $650 a roll plus shipping here on CCF. You might get more per roll on ebay but those listing fees eat up the margin real fast! Here's a thread about selling on CCF: https://goccf.com/t/405581Here's NGC's melt calculator: https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide...ver-Eagle-$1PS: I have also sold bullion at a large coin show near me. The smaller shows were no good, I got low-ball offers at 60 to 70% melt! But at the large shows I sold at melt. More competition pushes up prices at the bigger show.

I was going to say "bullion price for bullion coins" but looks like it has already been said...

To give you an idea, Vermillion Enterprises is paying (as of 5/1/25) Spot for Off-Quality / Mixed Date American Silver Eagles. Spot + $2 for Retail Friendly Solid Date tubes of American Silver Eagle

@FLCloinshop -
Thanks for the data point. Spot + 2 is a decent price, I'd take that if I were selling.
