I believe this was another common release that the Mint didn't have an image of. I was just perusing the Mint website, because you never know what you'll find these days (lately watching the images to show up for the laser beam/ laser engraved ASE). One oddity is the lack of an image for the S proof ASE, why wouldn't they show that? Also, as noted in another post, why there's no OGP shown for the Army privy? I don't expect much, not like a wooden box or anything (thinking how cool it would be for a box that replicates an old wooden Army footlocker! At least a clamshell that's green or better yet, olive drab!). I guess the Mint has to be a little more practical. But for the price you pay, you'd think they could think outside the box a little more. Or at least think ABOUT the box. Subtle changes like this would have a big impact on the collecting community. Back to the subject at hand, it looks like no changes from last year. I guess the change in the Congrats set made me think possibly the made a revamp in this annual set also. It would be another scenario where the ASE could be swapped around from another set, then I start thinking I should buy another set to keep sealed in the mint shipper. But not at $255! The Congrats set I do have 2 subs for this reason, starting this year, anyways. The LESPS, no way! One set for the collection. Edited by Gilly 06/15/2025 11:49 am

I wish that 1) I was more into the ASE and 2) this set had a lower price. I would solve the duplication issue from buying the standard clad and silver proof sets.

Now IF the Mint were to make a San Francisco Minted " S ", Uncirculated Version American Silver Eagle in that Set, No Question We Would ALL be ordering it... But No, Just Another duplicate in The Series......( maybe the Mint will see This....

Like the 2011 " burnished " San Francisco Minted American Silver Eagle 25TH Anniversary 5- Coin Sets..... Maybe included in The Special ASE 40th Anniversary 6-Coin sets....... Making a collection of ASE's Should be as Diverse as possible IMO, Not mundane, Stale and Duplicative.. I Want Options, We Deserve Choices that Reflect Outstanding examples, .... ( I feel better Now, :) ).

Geez don't give em any ideas. I can see it now, I don't think there is a reason they can't have, wait for it: "Limited Edition Silver Uncirculated Set".

What is so "Limited Edition" about this set? Is it the cardboard display case? Can these coins be bought individually in another way? I keep hearing buy the coin, not the holder !

Quote: Can these coins be bought individually in another way? Correct. And buying the ASE and the annual silver proof set is ten dollars cheaper. LESP is $255. Silver proof set ($150) and ASE ($95) = $245.

Yup. Makes it even more expensive than duplicating the non-silver coins from by both annual sets to fill album holes.

When the 1995 West Point American Silver Eagles Proof Set came out the Die Hard ASE collector's had to have the Only way to receive that 1995 - W Proof, This is the Kind of ideas that Lead to collectibles, IF one can obtain them. Jbuck stated Quote: " In a proof set though? " Exactly, Minting the Out of the Norm in a Well established Series, Leads to Desirable, Very Unique, Must have examples..... Thinking outside that Box, Is where they Want to be....!!!!
