How is everyone sourcing their San Francisco S-Mint Business Strike Quarters? Originally I was planning on getting the US Mint sets and then just sourcing the S-mint ones on ebay. However finding just the S-mint especially with the American Women Quarters is difficult. It seems to be cheaper or not much more to just get the PD&S set. I found some S-mint for about $2 but the three coin set is about $3. Some are harder to find and are more so that leads me to think maybe I should just buy the complete set and forego the mint sets and then source the penny, nickel, dime, half dollar and dollar separately.

I already have the 2024 and 2025 mint set so I'm not saving much. I may just end up with duplicate coins. The National Parks is the ones that get tricky because of the Presidential dollars. It would probably cost too much to get those separately along with the Native American dollars. I'm probably just overthinking it and should just stick with getting the mint sets and if I end up with duplicates so be it.

I'm finding dealers buy the rolls/bags and put them in 2x2s for their customers.

I found an ebay seller that I get the S business strike quarters from year after year. he is extremely reliable and I have not had any issues with. So, if the mint does another S series next year, I'll be sourcing him out That seller is : kdv1970

I was able to order a complete S mint National Park Quarter set at a decent price instead of having to search for each one individually. Quote: That seller is : kdv1970 Thanks for the recommendation. He was one I was looking at. Looks like he has the 2024 and 2025's. I'll need to find the 2022 and 2023 before I order any just in case it's cheaper to get them all at once from one seller vs multiple ones. But it's good to know you're happy with his coins.

I found a decent price for the 2023 S and ordered the 2024 S and the so far 4 2025 S from the seller you recommeded Dearborn. Now I just need the 2022 S American Woman Quarters and I'll be caught up with the S mints

The S mint quarters should be included with the mint sets. If they're not going to do that, you should at least be able to buy the S mint rolls without having to buy the P & D rolls.

Quote: The S mint quarters should be included with the mint sets. I agree. Quote: If they're not going to do that, you should at least be able to buy the S mint rolls without having to buy the P & D rolls. This would not help me, since I would still hit up the dealers at the show, but it should be an option for those who would like it!

Speaking of Women's quarters... So are the S mint marks proofs, standard business strikes or what? I know there are silver proof Women's quarters, but did they make clad proofs, too? If so, that means there are literally 3 different S mint mark coins? Was there S business strike coins for the America the Beautiful Quarter series as well? Perhaps they are only sold in mint sets?

Quote: The S mint quarters should be included with the mint sets. I wish they would, but considering it's been 14 years and they haven't, I don't think they will. Quote: If they're not going to do that, you should at least be able to buy the S mint rolls without having to buy the P & D rolls. Unfortunately they only sell the S as a three roll P, D & S set for $63 and considering I only want one coin and don't want the hassle of trying to sell the remainder on ebay, I'm stuck with just 3rd party sellers. It's not bad now that I am caught up. Just waiting for the last 2025 S to be released. Although with their lower mintage, it wouldn't be a bad idea to put a roll away but then that would put me into the coin hoarder category Plus I would never be able to part with them and I'd still just need one for my album.

Quote: So are the S mint marks proofs, standard business strikes or what? They are business strikes Quote: I know there are silver proof Women's quarters, but did they make clad proofs, too? If so, that means there are literally 3 different S mint mark coins? Silver and also Clad proofs. So you have uncirculated P, D & S. S proof clad and S proof silver. 5 coins per design. Quote:Was there S business strike coins for the America the Beautiful Quarter series as well? Perhaps they are only sold in mint sets? S mint started in 2012 with the America the Beautiful Quarters until 2021 as well as the Woman Quarters in 2022-2025. I assume that will be the case as well with the next Quarter series. They are not sold in mint sets, only 3 roll sets from the US Mint as P,D&S rolls.

Humanist1287, to make it even more confusing, there are also W-West Point mint quarters in 2019 and 2020 that I have yet to get. I assume they will be expensive but I have not looked for them yet. Also there is a 2017 Enhanced Uncirculated set and a 2018 Silver Reverse proof set for the cent, nickel, dime, 5 quarters, half dollar and dollar.

Yes, those special issues really mess up the flow of the sets.

That's absolutely bananas. I think I will stick to my national park series that just consists of P&D mints.. No confusion there! I don't collect the Women's quarters, so no issue there
