Here's another interesting pair from my pocket change last week, received at the same time. Can't remember if this was from Starbucks' as well, but it's likely.

Very interesting die crack / chip in different states running from her forehead, through her glasses and down the side of "O", to a raised area at the bottom.

Edited to remove a guess I'm second-guessing

Don't know about the cracks/chips - but this has got to be the strangest/creepiest US quarter coin design I've ever seen.

I see a pre Die Chip depression on the first coin. The second coin shows a Die Chip. Nice progression.
