Not sure what you are looking at, but what I see from the photos appears to be circulation damage. Just my opinion.

I wasn't sure what the 2 "horns" coming out of the "D" were.

The two "horns" are too close together to be a secondary MM, so the choice is they are two separate MMs with no other evidence, or some sort of damage. The most likely explanation is that they are from damage, but I do understand the confusion and why you posted the coin.

The rpms from the 50s are tough some dates have 100 possibilities can spend hours looking and never find your answer. I've tried many times.good luck

I can see how the bottom part of it resembles a notch, but I think this is post mint damage from how the top "horn" is not properly placed to be a notch and is so far curled outwards.
