There are a lot of things going on with this dime, but the cancellation Crossed Lines are the highlight.

Looks like gouges to me, but I could be wrong. Lets see what others have to say.

Might just be deep scratches on the coin, not on the die. There appears to be a line cut into the coin right next to the raised lines, suggesting metal displacement.

I agree, just a damaged coin. "Knifed" and smoothed over with time.

Those Morgan dollar cancelled die restrikes by Daniel Carr have no line cut into the coin like yours. I'm not aware that there were any Mercury dime dies that were cancelled and later restruck.
