This is a relist of the same that he previous had up with a bin price of $21,000,000.00. Winning offer was $99.95. Winner of auction left negative feedback because seller refused to accept Paypal.

This one is just too plain stupid to be defrauding someone! He attaches a link to Littleton Coin (which is already overpriced) and of course the price on their website doesn't even come within a sniff of what this nut wants!

Quote: NO REFUND IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS AUCITON. HOWEVER, I WILL OFFER A RELIST FOR A RESELL OF THE COIN. YOU RECEIVE PAYMENT FROM THE NEXT BUYER. THIS OPTION IS LIMITED TO "1 FREE 30 DAY RELISTING." IF THE COIN DOES NOT RESELL, YOU AGREE TO KEEP THE AUCTION. That quote is right out of his listing. Is that bizarre or what? I'm sure it's not even legal.

Quote: This one is just too plain stupid to be defrauding someone! There's that fraud word again. Tell me, what exactly is fraudulent about it? Anyone is free to ask what they want for things in America. The guy is surely a goofball, but fraudulent... no. If being a goofball was a crime, half my family'd be locked up.

I agree with scubu. It's not a crime to offer a ridiculous sum for some piece of junk(not this coin but you know what I mean). Having said that, the person who even considers this auction is just a fool or ignorant beyond belief.

Did you notice any of his recent purchases? They'll be for sale for hundreds over what he payed.

Anyone else notice that he lists the mint as San Francisco but the pictured coin is a Philly version? Maybe it's an ultra rare newly discovered error. I am all over this....$20 million is a bargain for something like that!

wetglaswegian: Sure there is! It goes like this: "There's a sucker born every minute". And then there's this one: "A fool and his money are soon parted". Shall I go on? These sellers are hoping to find a rube out there who is just too stupid or has too much money to care. How is this any different than those people who list a pancake with a burn mark on it that is construed to be an image of Jesus? And then some idiot comes along and bids STUPID money on it. (STUPID money = a large sum, foolishly spent) It happens. Maybe not all the time but often enough that people will try stunts like this. Let's face it, your chances of selling some of these example we've seen are much higher than hitting the lottery.

Thanks Weerdsteve , I can see the con aspect of it but putting a 22 mil pricetag on a clad dollar..is there anyone really that stupid ? It occured to me if I were to spend over..anything over 1000 , id have an expert check it out for me , two or more experts if possible. If I were to consider bidding on a clad dollar id probably seek the help of an expert brain Dr. The toast with Jesus is easy by the way, take a slice of bread and a cut out stencil of your chosen diety, lay the stencil out and spray water liberally over the stencil with your favorite saviour. Pop that in the toaster and Voila ...Holy Toast Works with English muffins too

Quote: from the listing: "TARNISH REMOVAL WAS UTILIZED TO INCREASE DETAIL AND EYE APPEAL" That kind of says it all, doesn't it?!

Well, I had to submit an offer of $1.50 with the terms that he place me on his blocked bidder list.

I saw that. How about some steel wool as well. The small circular scratches will bring out the inner beauty of the coin.
