Went to the mint site today to check on the new pricing. Previously I purchased 2 each year to pass down to my kids. Don't see that happening again. I guess they will need to play rock-paper-scissors for them now.

Holy moly. I'm out (might get the dual dated one but that's it). This can't be good for them.

If you think that is bad... Look at the other coins as well. Even non silver got a price hike.
Silver proof set $250 Uncirculated set $125 Roll of dollar coins $61 Proof set $107 Reverse proof dollar set $60 Reverse proof and 2026 morgan peace set $375 LESPS $340
This is a sad time for a coin collector. Being pushed out of the hobby like this is insane on such a monumental 250th anniversary with many unique and special sets coming. Paying $173 per oz is insane. I want quite a few coins this year but I may end up canceling my preorders to protest... this is just insane.

Also glad there is no 5 coin set this year as that would be $850 per set.

I would not consider buying new Mint product just now.
When current spot silver prices being so high, combined with the big premiums above whatever the current spot silver price may be, new mint product at this time (to my mind at least), represents very poor value for money.
On top of that, it is almost a certainty that with the current spot price spike, that sometime in the future, a spot silver price crash is bound to follow. Such current investors in new mint product will find a very tough time trying to re sell their purchases into the numismatic after market.
I know. Exactly that happened to me when the (then) spot silver price dived well below $50 some years ago.

I'll probably be buying this years ASE and sets, then I'm out (getting them ONLY because of the 250th Anniversary crap.)

Like Dearborn I may get this year's coins since it's the 250th anniversary then close out all my collections (ASE, Morgan, Peace, Silver Proof, Silver Medals, ETC). I will be sad. I just don't see my budget being able to make these purchases.

@Dearborn: the LESPS is not listed for 2026, so perhaps they'll unload any leftover 2025 sets at that price?

I will just buy to keep my basic sets going. No silver or gold at those prices.
