I'd say 62 with a shot at 63. Reverse might pull it up.
Why'd you break it out of the GSA holder?

I think it could pull a 63 looking at it in hand, maybe not. Might be biased because it's one of my favorite coins and I have grown to like her scratched up face.
I have seen worse 63s for this year cc on pcgs.

It looks like at least some of the marks on the cheek are superficial frost breaks rather than deeper bag marks. If that's the case, I'd say MS-63.

It's impossible not to like a Carson City dollar. They're incredibly addictive. The obverse has some small but deep gouges on the upper neck and longer ones N-S on the cheek, a bit of a heavy knock on the hair above the ear, and several small contacts on the cap fold and in the hair. The reverse is better, with a series of smaller dings on the eagle's lower left wing and a larger ding in the field below that wing (our visual right), as well as some contacts on the arrows and wreath bow. All that said, I've seen GSA's get a grade bump here, so a TPG MS-63 wouldn't surprise me. On a bourse floor raw, I'm at MS-62. For the grade, this one is nice. |

did they spray this coin with a luster gun? holy cow batman!
the reverse could pull MS65 the problem is the obv. there are some pretty good scratches across the profile especially along the jawline. i'd call the obv MS62 and net the coin at MS63 the obv is going to hold her back from a higher grade

Thanks Panzaldi, I have a similar thought. Zurie is also correct the luster breaks on cheek look exaggerated in the image, I don't think the obverse would get more than a 62 but the marks aren't as noticeable in hand and eye appeal is pretty good.
