I picked up this raw semi-key Peace dollar at our coin club auction. My cost was $51 which I thought was a fair but probably not excellent price. How would you all grade this coin?

AU-55 is my best guess. I see possible loss of detail on the eagle's shoulder, and quite a lot of 'circulation' marks on the obverse, but not really much obvious wear.

This one's too close to tell without inspecting it in-hand, but I'll try anyways. Under the lighting conditions of the photographs, I see no rub on the cheek; I'm inclined to call it Mint State for that reason. Consider that, upon circulation, the first things to disappear will be the bagmarks in the flat areas of the devices, even before details begin to show wear.

MS62, and well-bought.

I agree without having it in hand it's a little difficult to call. From what I can see the obverse has no visible wear but does show some bag marks. On the reverse I see what appears to be some very slight wear on the eagles feathers on upper right shoulder, side, and lower back. I'm going to say AU-58.

To much wear on the reverse's eagles wing and bottom feathered
leg. Obverse shows signs of multi-bag marks. au 50.

lots of mint luster but with several nasty scratches...typical slider, AU-58...you actually did very well on the price! ENJOY!
