What date is it? If it's 1990 or newer it can't be a tripled die because they stopped hand punching the mint marks that year, also is there any tripling on the digits? It looks like machine doubling(die chatter)

Mike,

I have to say, that for someone that is as handi-capped as you are, you take some awesome close-up pics of coins! Kudos to you for pressing on in the face of adversity!

I believe that John is correct and what you have is Machine Doubling.

My guess is he means Double Die D Mint Mark, and it is fairly obvious from the mintmark placement that it's a 2000 D nickel. And it looks like the die is starting to suffer from Die Deterioration with the fields becoming rough.

RPMs are done away with the mint marks punched on all dies after 1990. The only way you would find a doubled mint mark is on a true doubled die or machine doubled coins. What I see on your nickel fits the later. Machine Doubling.
