Don't feel bad I have had the same problem in the past. What I recommend and now do myself is to remove the slides on both sides then take an old coin and fit it all the way in and out the bottom side. It takes a little time but it is then a lot easier to get the coins where u want them.

Hope that helps,

Mike

I don't really understand the question....you did remove the clear plastic slide first right? Are you saying the coin doesn't go all of the way down in the hole? You can just push it down with a soft cloth between the coin and your finger.

you know when I first saw my first dansco I was like how the heck you get the coins in that thing. The only difference was I jumped on the internet and went to google to find out how instead of asking anyone because at that time I wasn't even on a forum, so I can tell you that you are definitely not alone

I can tell you this - no matter how hard you push, you can't push the coins through the plastic. I won't say why I know that but you can guess...

You can actually see the tabs of the plastic sticking out of the ends of the page.

Thanks for the sarcasm guyswhat I meant by the plastic is that I was trying to slide them from the side with a letter opener...not trying to push them through the plastic...and plus I'm a newbie to the Coin World. I am only 18...

ooo. I would not try piching coins through a hole with a letter opener could very easily scratch a surface or cause rim damage.

Removing the plastic slides works wonders.

Awesome, forum string! Don't mind me either, I had every intention of meeting another CCF forum member at a Coin Club meeting here in my hometown last night, we had plans for weeks and talked about it quite a bit.
I gave him perfect directions and my wife came home with Little League WS tickets for right behind home plate and I completely forgot about the coin club meeting and went to the game.
I sure feel bad about that. I wrote and apologized. This sort of thing is getting to be more frequent with me. So bad that this morning I woke up and made a pot of coffee without the basket in the percolator.
It is best to just laugh at ourselves.

I guess it's all in good fun lol I wonder if I'm the youngest on here...anyways I'm already addicted to the hobby. I just bought a metal detector and have already picked up numerous wheaties, a buffalo,a 1943 silver nickel, a Barber dime and 2 mercurys. Just can't get enough of it
